Oh, Darling Don't You Ever Grow Up

My darling cutest niece in the world, Riley, turned 3 today (well actually tomorrow but her party was today). She had a purple princess party where, as she told me, "I opened presents and ate cake." Sounds like my kind of party.
Happy Birthday beautiful girl!

"Oh, darling don't you ever grow up, don't you ever grow up. Just stay this little. Oh, darling don't you ever grow up, don't you ever grow up, it can stay this simple."

After my last post, the readers who don't know me IRL (in real life) might think that I am super ambitious and go get em. And usually I am. But sometimes people are mean. Really really really mean, and it just throws you a new one and you just want to listen to Taylor Swift songs about not growing up.

Slowly over the last two months my job at the resale shop has gone down hill. Basically, I felt that I could run the business better and that my treatment was unprofessionally based on my boss's mood that day. Lots of things happened, but I basically quit today after it culminated with her yelling at me in front of customers. When I went to discuss it, she called me names. She called me selfish. She told me that my personality conflicted with everyone in the store and she thought it was "attributed to my age".

It made me upset to think that I put in so much work and effort and it didn't matter. I have never been treated like this before. I spent the rest of the afternoon applying to new jobs. Please pray that I can find the right fit. I was telling N that I'm nervous that all my bosses are going to be like this now. I know that this is crazy. I am very glad that I have a chance to find a healthy, new opportunity now.

Always,
Hannah

  1. Are we the same person? My niece is turning 3 in March and I always think about her when I hear that song! Craaaazy. And your niece is adorable! As for your job- this was probably meant to be so that you can move on to bigger and better things. Good luck! Thinkin of you, girl!

  4. I once had a boss who shouted right in my face and I have never experienced anything like it ever since (thankfully).

Hannah, you will get a nicer job. And people will behave normally around you.
