Pictures

N and I have been dating for 4 years now and each summer my sister has taken pictures of us.

 1 Year, 2 Years, 3 Years consecutively.
After about a year of dating we lost the "awww cute couple" status and pictures of us stopped being taken. Unless I wanted some of us taken from arms length by me. Caitlin was always kind enough to take pictures of us so I didn't suffer from up the nose shots or double chins.

This summer we didn't get a chance to take any, but when she came up last weekend we snapped a few (hundred) on Sunday. Here's some snapshots:

We have about a billion more. And at least half of those I love (The ones I don't like are the ones that I made my sister take for us. She's much better than I am ;D )
So thanks Caitlin for supplying us with another year's worth of pictures!

Always,
Hannah

My major!

The last few days have been long and intense and full and easy and everything.

First, I should update you all on my actual life. I am no longer a college freshman, I am a sophomore. I am also no longer Undecided in my major. At the end of last semester I declared Interior Design with a double minor in Architecture and Retail.

I've heard from many people (directly and indirectly) that they are surprised I didn't do something in health or medicine. In my life right now, I want to be able to create and make things. I don't want to sit behind a desk all day. I don't want to memorize chemicals and reactions and science things right now. I just want to do something creative and fun.

Unfortunately, with fun comes work. Apparently. My drawing classes are intense. I have 3 labs this semester. On paper it says I'm taking 15 hours a week, but I'm actually doing 21 hours. And working. And trying to have a life. To say that I am overwhelmed at times is a bit of an understatement.

I have started to make plans to create a colony of college dropouts in the mountains. We'll grow dreads and make clothes. Pickle vegetables and carve furniture. I have several friends on the wait list to be approved.

Through all of this, I am still wearing real clothes (at least to work ;D ha). The top is from my work, skirt is Forever 21, and flats are from Dillards.

I hope you all have started to figure out what you want to major in in life.

Always,
Hannah

Sister Visit

My sister came to visit me this weekend! N and I passed her between us while we worked opposite schedules. She borrowed my friend's ID who is in the band and didn't need it to get in for free (yes! students still get in free at Tech!). I worked during Saturday morning but Caitlin and N waited in line with our friends for 4 hours (we played the University of Texas so it was EXTREMELY crowded). I think we had fun though. Right Caiter?

I'm glad you came to visit Caitlin! (And I know you were secretly cheering for UT and that's why we lost :P)

Lately

Lately I've been busy:

Going to football games

And:
Working. Hard obviously ;)
Actually, the whole staff (including our lovely bosses!) were in the store this day because we had our "official" chamber of commerce opening. I love working there, and I'm blessed to have such fun coworkers and bosses. So don't worry, my boss was the one taking the pictures.

N and I are about to go to a Community Group for our church. Then more drafting homework for me tonight.

Hannah

Casey Donahew

Through all of my classes and hourssssss of drawing homework, I have had a little time for fun. Last Saturday I went to a charity concert thrown by a fraternity. We got to see/listen to:
Casey Donahew Band! Good ol' Texas Country.
I basically threw a belt and some boots on over what I wore to work earlier. That's A, N, and K all looking handsome as usual.
Jamming out
Song about getting your gun. Texas Tech Red Raiders "get their guns up" for those of you who don't know.
This made me laugh. Some guy that had a little too much to drink kept singing and putting his arm around K. Haha!

Anyways, it was a pretty fun night :)

Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You!

There's this site called www.warbyparker.com that has lots of vintage inspired glasses. They have this cool program where you can pick out 5 frames to try on for 5 days. I'm in need of some new glasses so we're going to have a vote:

1) The Roosevelt
2) The Colton
3) The Webb
4) The Fillmore
5) The Huxley

So vote away!

Always,
Hannah

P.S.
Sorry about the weird face angles. I was trying to get the least amount of glare.
